Lok Sabha 2024: Chirag Paswan is confident that the NDA will win all 40 seats in Bihar

In a bold declaration, Chirag Paswan, the National President of Lok Janshakti Party, stated that their coalition will win all 40 seats in Bihar in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

Chirag Paswan is confident because in 2019 when his party was a part of a group of three parties, they won 39 seats out of 40 seats in Bihar. Now, with the party growing and including five parties in its coalition, they can do even better. He sees a lot of excitement and enthusiasm among people, which gives him confidence that their coalition can win 40 seats in Bihar and 400 seats across India.

Chirag Paswan won the Jamui seat in the 2014 elections for the Lok Janshakti Party and also retained it in 2019. However, for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024 he fielded his brother-in-law, Arun Bhati, from the Jamui seat. He earlier said that he would contest from Hajipur, a constituency held by his father, Ram Vilas Paswan, for eight terms.

As a constituent of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) (RV) was assigned five seats to contest out of the total 40 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would contest 17 seats, while Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) (JD (U)) would contest 16 seats. The remaining two allies, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha, would each stand in one seat. However, Chirag Paswan has yet to announce the names of party candidates for the remaining three seats.
