BJP Karnataka Lodges Complaint Over Alleged Pro-Pakistan Slogans by Syed Naseer Hussain Supporters

The BJP unit in Karnataka has complained to the Vidhana Soudha Police Station Alleging that the supporter of Rajya Sabha member Syed Naseer Hussain raised pro-Pakistan slogans after he was declared the winner.

As Per the BJP complaint, when Syed Naseer Hussain’s victory was announced, a group of his supporters gathered at Vidhana Soudha and started chanting slogans like “Pakistan Zindabad” in celebration.

The complaint read that “It was as if these supporters of Naseer Hussain shouted those slogans of PAKISTAN ZINDABAD hailing and praising Pakistan on the election of Naseer Hussain to the RAJYA SABHA or UPPER HOUSE IN INDIA,”

It is also added that “In the legislative house PREMISES of one of the states of the REPUBLIC OF INDIA namely Karnataka PROPAKISTAN SLOGANS HAVE BEEN SHOUTED IN A CELEBRATORY MANNER. All this is done at the instigation of Nasir Hussain, who does not know whether he is elected to the Indian Parliament or the PAKISTAN PARLIAMENT,”

Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda told News18 “We have obtained the video and analyzing it.”

Syed Naseer Hussain’s Response to the Complaint and Allegations

Syed Nasir Hussain posted a video on X to clarify the incident, in the video, he stated “Today, as some of our workers and supporters and some people were celebrating the victory of three candidates, I was there in the midst of them and then lots of slogans like Naseer Hussain, zindabad… Congress Party Zindabad and all were being raised by some of the workers. Then all of a sudden, when I was leaving, I got calls from the media saying that somebody had read pro-Pakistan slogans. I would like to say here that when I was there when I was in the midst of the people, there were lots of slogans that were being shouted there. But I never heard a slogan called Pakistan Zindabad there. But whatever it is, we already asked the police and let the police investigate it. If somebody has raised such a kind of a slogan then he has to be dealt with sternly and strictly according to the law. There should be an inquiry. And in case somebody has mocked the video, if somebody has doctored the video and played mischief, even that has to be inquired. Or if somebody has given the slogan who are they? From where did he come and how did they enter the premises there? What was their intention and motive for shouting the slogan should also be seen. But as far as I am concerned, when I was there, no slogan was shouted there… So let us wait for the inquiry and whatever comes out will be there in the public domain..”

Karnataka Minister Priyank Kharge also said in a statement to the news reporter, “It is very clear in the audio that they have said Naseer Hussain and Syed Sahab Zindabad…This is nothing but a desperate measure for the BJP to get back in the game. The party has done an audio forensic check and it is found that there is nothing like that. The govt’s FSL report is expected by 11 am…”

In response to the clarification video, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi urged Congress’s top authorities to take serious action and stated that “Today after the victory of Naseer Hussain in Rajya Sabha election from Congress party in the Vidhana Soudha, pro-Pakistani slogans have been raised by the Congress party workers. Instead of condemning this, Naseer Hussain is trying to mislead and say that somebody is spreading false news, which is more dangerous.”

Karnataka CM Siddaramiah responded to the incident

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah reacted to the incident and said, “We have sent the voice report to the FSL, if it is true that somebody has raised such slogan – ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, that person will be punished seriously,”
