BJP Announced First List of 195 Candidates for the Lok Sabha Election 2024, 34 Ministers Included!

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its first list of 195 candidates for the Lok Sabha election in 2024. The list contains 34 ministers out of 195 candidates, including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Smriti Irani, and more.

The BJP’s first list includes 51 seats from Uttar Pradesh, 24 from Madhya Pradesh, 20 from West Bengal, 15 from Gujrat, 15 from Rajasthan, 12 from Kerala, 9 from Telangana, 11 from Assam, 11 from Jharkhand, 11 from Chhattisgarh, 5 from Delhi, 2 from Jammu & Kashmir, 3 from Uttarakhand, 2 from Arunachal Pradesh, 1 from Goa, 1 from Andaman & Nicobar, and 1 from Daman & Diu.

The candidate list includes 28 female candidates, 27 candidates from the SC category, 18 candidates from the ST category, 57 candidates from the OBC category, and 47 candidates below 50 years of age.

The BJP’s First List for Lok Sabha Elections

Key Points:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be contesting from Varanasi (U.P.), Home Minister Amit Shah from Gandhinagar (Gujrat), Defense Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia from Guna.

The former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, is set to contest from Vidisha.

Minister of Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, will contest from Amethi.
Suvendu Adhikari’s brother, Soumendu Adhikari, has been fielded from Kanthi.

Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former Delhi chief minister Sushma Swaraj and former Governor of Mizoram Swaraj Kaushal, will contest the New Delhi Lok Sabha seats as a BJP candidate. She will be facing the Aam Aadmi Party’s Somnath Bharti.

Former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who is currently serving as Cabinet Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, will contest from Dibrugarh.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, a two-term member of the Rajya Sabha, is all set to make his debut in the Lok Sabha elections. He has been given the ticket from Porbandar, Gujarat.

Kiren Rijiju, a three-time MP in Lok Sabha from Arunachal Pradesh, is again nominated to contest from the Arunachal Pradesh (west) Lok Sabha constituency. Similarly, Tapir Gao is repeated for the Arunachal East constituency.

The BJP has re-nominated Hema Malini, Ajay Mishra Teni, Mahesh Sharma, SPS Baghel, and Sakshi Maharaj from Uttar Pradesh.

Popular Bhojpuri actors Pawan Singh and Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’ have been fielded from Asansol and Azamgarh, respectively.

Manoj Tiwari re-fielded from North-East Delhi and Ravi Kisan from Gorakhpur.
